Position Overview

The Manager Design and Operations Integrity - Global Drilling and Completions is a new role at Nexen. The key driver for the position is to drive the consistent and rigorous approach to well design and operational integrity through the lifecycle of the well. This role will be accountable for developing and stewarding the global policy and standards around design and operational integrity as well as for stewardship of same.

This position may be located in Calgary, Houston, Aberdeen or Stavanger.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

- Development and sustainment of D&C policy, standards, and best practices
- Nexen D&C well verification
- D&C process assurance
- Lead role in the well integrity network
- Non operated well stewardship

Required Skills/Experience: Education/Experience

BSc in one of the engineering disciplines. The successful applicant will have 20 years plus of broad drilling and completions experience encompassing roles with increasing levels of seniority and accountability in D&C engineering and operations. Extensive offshore and onshore D&C experience a requirement. Multi basin / country experience a definite asset (i.e. international experience encompassing a variety of regulatory environments). Deepwater experience a definite asset. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and an extensive knowledge of well design and operations. The successful applicant will have the necessary interpersonal behaviors and leadership competencies to work on a collaborative basis with a peer group of D&C professionals in Nexen’s regions.
